About The Project

The wind farm consists of 12 Nordex wind turbines, 7 x N100 (3.3MW – Delta) and 5 x N90 (2.5MW – Gamma) WTGs, associated foundations, roads, crane hardstands, drainage, underground 20kV cable network, public road upgrades, 38kV substation building and substation compound. Glencarbry Wind Farm will be connected by approximately 14km of 38kV underground cable to the ESB Distribution Network at Cauteen substation.

Civil and electrical works are in progress expected to be completed by August 2016. Wind turbines are due to be delivered and installed by end of 2016. The windfarm is expected to be fully operational by March 2017.
