About The Project

Kings Mill Hospital is an acute facility with 550 beds, including a full range of acute hospital services including A&E.

Newark General Hospital is a District General Hospital located 22 miles away from the main Project office.  Services include a 24 hour Minor Injuries Unit, a CT scanner and operating theatres.

Mansfield Community Hospital is a 64 bed facility mainly used for patient rehabilitation and is located 2 miles from the Project office.

The Project includes a geothermal system that provides cooling and low grade heating to the site utilising Kings Mill Reservoir.

The Project also has a Coal Mine methane plant onsite that extracts methane from the ground and uses it to power turbines to provide electricity to the national grid.  Plans are in place to utilise the power and waste heat in order to reduce the utility costs for the site.
